About the project

TimeBack is an opportunity to remember and relive Cayman’s past. Compass Media and Dart have scanned negatives of more than 300,000 photographs from the Cayman Compass archive. A dedicated team of amateur historians, journalists, artists and civic-minded Caymanians are reviewing the collection.

Each month 100 of their selections will be shared with the community in our galleries. All are invited to share their Cayman story by registering and providing history and observations and around the images.
